| 1989年に前身バンドであるMarilyn Manson & The Spooky Kidsを結成。1992年に現在の名前に改名した。バンド名を女優マリリン・モンローとカルト教団教祖兼殺人犯（現死刑囚）のチャールズ・マンソンから取ったことは有名。アルバム“Mechanical
